General Information for Admission to B.Com. (Honours)

Class Timings  

There are separate forms for morning and evening sessions. In case one wishes to be considered for more than one session and/or campus, the candidate must fill up separate forms for each.

Admission Qualification for B.Com.

A candidate may be admitted to the B.Com. (Honours) course provided he/she has passed the Higher Secondary Examination (plus two course) conducted by West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination recognized as such by University of Calcutta, subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:

a. Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/Applied Mathematics is compulsory in Plus-II level.

b. A candidate must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in at least four subjects including English and Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Mathematics and must have passed in all subjects as per the respective board/council pass marks.

Choice of Modern Indian Language

Hindi / Bengali / Alternative English (Alternative English will be given only to students not having Hindi or Bengali at the Class-X level.)

Selection Procedure

Selection is done on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 examination followed by interview.
